McKinley James is a Nashville-based guitarist, singer, and old-soul rocker whose sound blends vintage rhythm & blues, gritty soul, and raw, early rock ‘n’ roll. With a voice beyond his years and guitar chops honed from the age of 7, he channels the spirit of Otis Redding and Link Wray in equal measure. Backed by a powerhouse band (often including his father, drummer Jason Smay of Los Straitjackets), McKinley is bringing retro cool to a new generation—one blistering riff at a time.
