3 Doors Down

Formed in 1996 in Escatawpa, Mississippi, 3 Doors Down quickly rose to prominence with their distinctive blend of post-grunge and alternative rock. The band gained widespread recognition with their debut single "Kryptonite," which peaked at number three on the Billboard Hot 100 and propelled their first album, The Better Life (2000), to seven-times platinum status.

Following this success, their sophomore album, Away from the Sun (2002), continued their momentum, featuring hits like "When I'm Gone" and "Here Without You." Both their third and fourth albums, Seventeen Days (2005) and 3 Doors Down (2008), debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart, solidifying their place in the rock music landscape.

Over the years, the band has experienced lineup changes, with lead vocalist Brad Arnold remaining as the sole original member. Guitarist Chris Henderson joined in 1998, followed by drummer Greg Upchurch in 2005, guitarist Chet Roberts in 2012, and bassist Justin Biltonen in 2013.

In May 2025, Brad Arnold announced his diagnosis of stage four kidney cancer, which has metastasized to his lungs. Despite the severity of his condition, Arnold expressed strong faith and confidence in his recovery, attributing a fearless attitude to his belief in God. As a result of his diagnosis, the band has canceled its upcoming summer tour.
Throughout their career, 3 Doors Down has sold over 20 million albums worldwide and received multiple accolades, including Grammy nominations and American Music Awards. Their enduring appeal lies in their heartfelt lyrics and powerful melodies that continue to resonate with fans around the globe.
