The Surfrajettes - Centre In The Square - January 6 & 7, 2023
The Surfrajettes are an all-female instrumental surf rock band from Toronto, Canada. Formed in 2015, the band consists of members Nicole Damoff (guitar), Shermy Freeman (guitar), Sarah Butler (bass), and Tessa “Bobcat” Warden (drums).
Drawing inspiration from the surf music of the 1960s, The Surfrajettes' sound is characterized by catchy melodies, reverb-drenched guitar riffs, and energetic rhythms. They often perform instrumental covers of classic surf rock songs as well as original compositions that pay homage to the genre's iconic sound.
Known for their dynamic live performances and retro aesthetic, The Surfrajettes have gained a following both locally and internationally.
