Dan Howler Band
The Dan Howler Band is a roots rock group based in Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario. Fronted by singer-songwriter Dan Howler, the band blends elements of folk, country, R&B, blues, and pop. Originally a solo artist, Howler formed the band in 2014 with drummer Duncan McLennan and bassist Ian Angus McLennan to record a full-length album. Their music is available on Bandcamp, featuring tracks like "Mayfair Hotel," "It's Not Worth It," and "Montreal" .
JJ Wilde, a fellow Kitchener native and acclaimed Canadian rock artist, appeared on this album on a few songs. They performed a live cover of his song "It's Not Worth It" at the Bronson Centre Music Theatre in Ottawa on November 9, 2024 .
JJ Wilde's own music journey includes her debut album "Ruthless" (2020), which won Rock Album of the Year at the 2021 Juno Awards . Her latest album, "Vices," released in 2024, delves into personal themes of heartbreak and growth, marking a significant evolution in her songwriting .
This was one of my favourite albums to produce with some of my closest friends.
